Speculative Fiction

More Alex Jones madness – again linked by the Drudge Report, which I find interesting because Jones is such a rabid Bush-hater.
It was 2017. Clans were governing America.
The first clans organized around local police forces. The conservatives’ war on crime during the late 20th century and the Bush/Obama war on terror during [...]

Obama

Last week on Facebook, Charles Shaw wrote this:
[I'm] very disturbed to see that so many people have been taken in by Alex Jones and cannot see that he’s, at best, an unstable megalomaniac who’s low on facts and high on fear-mongering, and worse, he fits to a tee the description of a [...]

Alex Jones on Drudge

July 9, 2010Henry Baum No Comments »

Pretty fascinating that this was linked on Drudge.  This is news.  Alex Jones may lean Republican (pro-Christian Libertarian) but Drudge is linking to a truther.  If Glenn Beck paranoia is the gateway to Alex Jones/David Icke-style paranoia, things will get more warped and interesting.

He’s right (for the most part). Celebrity is the opiate of [...]

Frodo Deception

Sort of sad to see some former idealism crushed.  I had a lot of hope for Obama.  Tragically, Alex Jones has been proven right:

Alex Jones

Alex Jones goes off on Anderson Cooper.  He’s right, in a way – the media fosters violence much more than people like Alex Jones, or even Sarah Palin.  Because she’s given voice without being condemned – just treated like a celebrity talking.  But the people who are most stupid in the tea party probably do [...]

Sign of the Times

March 31, 2010Henry Baum No Comments »

Discovered Sott.net via a Facebook posting by Evolver.net. A nice lengthy dissection of Alex Jones that echoes what I’ve been thinking. As I wrote on Facebook:
RA Wilson calls some conspiracy theorists “adrenaline addicts.” Think that describes AJ. He wants there to be a conspiracy more than he wants there [...]

Hutaree

A group prepares for the Anti-Christ and gets arrested. Deranged and sign of the times, but to be perfectly honest, I agree with this:
All of this serves as grist for the MSM propaganda machine to ostensibly scare people away from the patriot movement, or to scare patriots from the militias. l
As anti-right militia as I [...]

Brave New World

March 1, 2010Henry Baum 3 Comments »

A fairly stupid lead-in by Alex Jones for what’s an interesting speech by Aldous Huxley about Brave New World and 1984. Obviously, Huxley thought the scenario in Brave New World was possible or he wouldn’t have written it.  Doesn’t mean he was writing a literal blueprint for the future.

Huxley, after all, was a drug advocate [...]

The Occult Conspiracy

February 26, 2010Henry Baum No Comments »

When conspiracy theorists collide. In this video, Alex Jones criticizes Zeitgeist for being anti-Christian and being a part of the New Age conspiracy to take over the world.

To sum up the video – it’s saying that Zeitgeist, which is anti-Christian, advocates a New Age New World Order in which Christianity is supplanted, even as [...]

Zeitgeist: Addendum

February 14, 2010Henry Baum 1 Comment »

Say what you will about the conspiracy theory inherit in the Zeitgeist movement, but you cannot deny the intelligence and sincerity of Jacque Frescoe and his vision of a possible utopia.  Here’s a fascinating interview (first part) with Larry King from 1974.

The Venus Project clearly separates the Zeitgeist movement from other conspiracy theorizing from the [...]
